09/09/09 – Rebecca 18^th birthday celebration. We were outside our room a 12.10 AM in the morning preparing to surprise her. We carry the cake to her room and surprised her with the cake and flower. These are photos that were taken during the celebrations.

During the morning, we went to our BPE lecture to do our second lecture and first flexim assignment. After the class, we decided to have steamboat outside the university. The steamboat soup was spicy and the meat and vegetables were tasty. The total bill for the steamboat was around 70 RMB which is extremely cheap as five of us eat quite a lot of food. After the steamboat meal, we all were quiet full and went back to our bunk to take a rest. Hence it concludes the end of day 9 in Wuhan. Reflection: From today’s birthday celebration, I deeply realise how important friendship are in our daily life. We might be far from Singapore, without family member to celebrate the birthday with us. However, we did not need to celebrate our birthday alone as there are friends around us that will celebrate this joyous event together. After all birthday only happens only one time in a year and as friends, we will make that day a wonderful day to remember.
