Sep 5, 2009 - The day, we was struck with the beauty or wonder of the nature

Finally this is one of the moment that i was waiting for, We are going to Lu Lin for some water drifting action and waterfall scenery =). The bus ride was quiet long approximately three to four hours, it was pretty tiring but there is a saying "no pain, no gain!"

The bus ride was pretty long hence most of us fall asleep

During the bus trip, I realised that the life in Wuhan is tougher than Singapore. Not all people here have a easy life compared to Singapore.

After a long bus ride, we finally reached the destination. We ate lunch there and went for some water drifting season. Too bad, there is no chance for me to take photo during the water drifting. The water drifting distance is quite far, approximately six to seven kilometers and took me two hours plus to finish the whole course.

After the water drifting activity, we went to "mei ren gu" for some waterfall scenery. The walking time to the waterfalls took roughly one to two hours but the scenery there worth all the troubles and time. These are some shots i took during the walk-

After that we went back to our resort to have our dinner. It was a pretty tiring day and i wanted to take a break however there is a performance at night near our resort. The performance consistly mostly people singing a song and a dance performance. At the end of the performance, a camp fire ignited and we all dance around it with everyone. After that we went back to our room to take a break of the day.

Reflection: From this trip i greatly realised how important nature to us. The clear air and surrounding clearly motivates us to do our work and relieve our stress. In Singapore, we can't enjoy much of this natural beauty anymore, hence this trip give us a rare opportunity. Instead of wasting our natural resources for example burning down trees or pouring harmful chemical to the water sources, we should preserve the natural environment and prevent this thing from happening. It is better to be safe than sorry, as nobody knows what is going to happen in the future if nobody protect our beautiful natural environment.

Quote of the day:
Both the grand and the intimate aspects of nature can be revealed in the expressive photograph. Both can stir enduring affirmations and discoveries, and can surely help the spectator in his search for identification with the vast world of natural beauty and the wonder surrounding him.” by Ansel Adams quotes (American Photographer, 1902-1984)

  1. Hi Polim, I glad you appreciate nature. I believe the National Parks Singapore, http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/ is doing their best to have more parks and walk-through- nature pathways. Try them when you are free in Singapore. Regards, Lim Choon Boo
