Sep 4, 2009 - The preview of the daily routine of study life in Wuhan

Today is the orientation day hence we will visit our class room and look around the university vicinity. We meet up at 10 AM below our bunk and started to walk to the university.

--------------------------------------------------------

Jarold can't wait to see where we gonna study for 6 weeks
-----------------------------------------------
To reach our class room we need to walk uphill

--------------------------------------------------------
Compared to Singapore, the university here is vast and surrounded by a lot trees and beautiful scenery. I personally think this is a good study environment as it can motivates you and relieve your stress. and these are some of the photos of the scenery..
--------------------------------------------------------
Beautiful and colourful flowers around the vicinity

-----------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------
There is also a wonderful resting area with a small pond and not to forget a wonderful view of our bunk

------------------------------------------------------------

Our bunk

------------------------------------------------------------
And Finally this is where we going to study in WUST!

The Foreign Language School

---------------------------------------
The scenery view from the top of the hill is outstanding =)

-------------------------------------------------------
You can see the sea from here!

-------------------------------------------------------
When we entered the school, we are greeted by big sign of...

and..

----------------------------------------------------------
The most attractive part of the school is the toilet!

-------------------------------------

The toilet are lacking sense of privacy =P
-------------------------------------

Jarold is imagining how he look like when he do his business =)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the whole trip, it is free and easy, we decided to take a break at our bunk . After a good rest,we went for grocery shopping to stock up on our water supply and dinner. However we still cannot relax yet as we have one more work to do which is major cleaning our bunk!
-----------------------------------------
At night, we decided to try the weird coconut that we bought at supermarket.

-------------------------------------

----------------
To take out the coconut's juice, we used the Swiss knife to cut a small hole at the small coconut hole. The coconut shell is harder than the rock! I tried to break it and it's just seem to bounce-
-----------------------------------------------------
Final Taste Judgement:
Ming Yu : 0/10
Chong Sian : 3 /10
Me : 4/10
-------------
In conclusion, the coconut has a weird taste and smell. Maybe the taste just not suited for us =(
-----------------------------------------------------
Reflection: Today, I learnt that we must be ready to face changes in our lives, as we cannot expect that our life will be the same everyday. By looking at the classroom and toilets in china, I become more grateful on what I have in Singapore. Our lives in Wuhan is not as easy compared to Singapore. This is in fact an example of changes in our life where we usually pampered by luxury in Singapore. However,by facing new challenges in our lives, we will able to improvise our self and by trying out the new learning experiences, we will able to broaden our perceptive. In conclusion, we should look forward to what we gonna do in the future and be ready to face all the challenges in our life and not forgetting trying out all the new experience out there! and of course accept the changes as what it is..

Quote of the day:I do believe that when we face challenges in life that are far beyond our own power, it's an opportunity to build on our faith, inner strength, and courage. I've learned that how we face challenges plays a big role in the outcome of them.” by Sasha Azevedo quotes (American Actress, Athlete and Model)
